Dinner Is Served at Renewal House

There is something comforting about receiving a meal that has been prepared at home. This week, Fed Up With Hunger brought that comfort to 12 adults at Lake County Haven’s Renewal House.

Our volunteers prepared a hearty dinner of macaroni and cheese, chicken nuggets, broccoli and potatoes, along with homemade carrot muffins. We also included individual bags of chips and soft drinks to complete the meal.

Cooking for Renewal House has become a special part of our work. From planning the menu to packing and delivering each item, every step is completed with the people receiving the meal in mind. We hope this dinner offered not only nourishment, but also the warmth of knowing that their community cares.
